As per the email I just received from Langerado...the Lee Boys will be playing in that spot instead. On the bright side, Robert Randolph will be playing in 2009!

I'm pissed about this RR&FB were one of the main reasons I wanted to go this year, especially with a late night set. I don't really get that excited for the Disco Biscuits, so Saturday late night now looks f**k**g lame to me.

Well...I'm sure you'll find something to get into!
I'm disappointed about RR not coming, too. I was looking forward to my first taste. On the other hand...it's kinda nice to not be tied to anything now. Sometimes that's how you find the best stuff, just wandering with an open mind.
And The Lee Boys are good. Hmmm. . .

No, I'm sorry, this is unprofessional and in poor form, both from the Family Band (who, in the email state that they can't be there because they are going into the recording studio - WTF? Wouldn't you have planned studio time earlier?) and by Langerado, who couldn't coax someone else in there to play that spot - I mean, hell, Justice is in Ft. Lauderdale one day prior, they couldn't use that Robert Randolph money on him?

I mean, this just strikes me as very bush league. There's no one bigger than the Lee Boys for them to give a late night to?

Major bummer for me. I have passed up RR many times in the past and I had moved him up to my must see list for Langerado. And the Bisco doesn't do it for me either.

Nothing about it on the RRFB website and it still lists Langerado as their next concert.

Im UBER pissed about this. RRFB was also one of the main reasons of going (Beasties, G. Love the others) and was so psyched about Late Night Saturday. Now this really puts a damper on things. Havent seen RR since Langerado '06 b/c ive had other conflicts when he's been in the area here. I guess I'll have to check out the Disco Biscuits then.

Don't give up on The Lee Boys just yet.
They may not be Robert Randolph, but they put on a good show, too! I saw them sit in with the North MS All Stars last year at a Langerado Late Nite show and I enjoyed them quite a bit.
You can check them our right now playing a show in Key West tonite (and tomorrow nite, too!)

I've seen RRFB at least 4 times and they are one of my favorites. However, I recently caught the Lee Boys and enjoyed it as much as any RRFB show. They are worth checking out.

great idea they've to my knowledge have been at every langerado was pissed when i didnt see them on the lineup for this year.

i dont know who the lee boys are and im gonna go ahead and say most people dont so biscos gonna be way way to crowded. bad choice langerado i agree either a new artist or clear up fridays clusterfuck or the msmw, matisyahu, ghostland conflict. i say phix, tribe or ghostland get it.
